The ad, which was submitted on Mar. 22, appeared on the classified ads section for only a short while before KUTV.com noticed and removed it. The ad was offering a six-month-old child -- listed as "used," but "beautifule and affectionate with so much love to offer." The price for the child was listed at $6,560. The Salt Lake City Police Department and the Utah Division of Child and Family Services were immediately notified by KUTV upon discovery of the ad. As of Tuesday, authorities continued to investigate the incident but were still unsure whether the ad was legitimate -- or a prank. The ad was traced to a Pauline Burgman, of Salt Lake City -- who authorities attempted to identify. It was not immediately known whether Burgman is a real person or a false identity used to create the ad. "If this is a prank, we want to know so we can rest at ease," said Det. Jared Wihongi of the Salt Lake City Police Department. "If it is something serious, we want to know that also." A photograph of the "child for sale" accompanied the classified ad, which showed a small girl lying on her stomach, looking at the camera -- smiling. "[The ad] sounded desperate... that they were wanting to do whatever it takes," said KUTV Assistant News Director Jennifer Dahl. "We placed several calls to [authorities] and removed it from our website." KUTV Classifieds -- which operates independently of the KUTV.com news site -- is working with Salt Lake City authorities to try and get to the bottom of this advertisement. "We will try and find any information that is on there and try and trace it back," said Frank Davis, whose company operates KUTV's classifieds. "[We will] see if we can identify where it came from, who posted it... anything we can possibly do, we are going to do right now." Salt Lake City Police are also asking for the public's help in this case. Anyone who might be able to identify the child seen in the ad's photograph, or knows who posted it last weekend is encouraged to contact detectives at (801) 799-3000. <script type="text/javascript"><!--

If you didn’t choose B, you must be pretty twisted! So here’s the story. Bernhard Stadlinger,24, parked his sister’s car next to an identical car. He went to a disco, met a girl, took her to what he thought was the car and began to have sex in it. Petra Eichinger,42, walks to the parking lot, sees her car being violated, and in outrage, calls the police. I bet they thought it was a prank call. The woman had locked her doors but Stadlinger’s key happened to work on both cars. What are the chances? I can’t believe he had intended to make the beast with two backs in his sister’s car. That’s just not right. ![]() video not related to story |
